DESCRIPTION: Biblical
and spiritual church social work practice should be a ministry involving
transformation of people and community into a community of happy life. Desirable
church social work practice is not a elegantly polished relief work of the past
but rather it should be a ministry carried out by every member of a church
community as an essence of church through transforming the essence and structure
of ministry of a church into Jesus Christ-centered ‘welfare mission’ and
‘welfare ministry’. In other words, church is not just using general social
work practice but it is returning to the Bible and doing biblical social work
practice. Hence this course will specifically define the concept of church
social work practice that forms the foundation to welfare mission and welfare
ministry with biblical perspective, and real practice strategies, methods, and
skills will be studied in depth.
성경적이면서 영성적인 교회사회복지실천은 사람과 지역사회를 행복한 삶의 공동체로 변화시키는 사역이어야 한다. 바람직한 교회사회복지실천은 과거의 구제사업을 세련되게 포장한 모습이 아니라 교회의 사역 구조와 본질을 예수 그리스도 중심의 ‘복지선교’와 ‘복지목회’로 탈바꿈하여 모든 교회 공동체 구성원들의 본질적 사역으로 수행되는 것이어야 한다. 즉, 일반 사회복지실천을 교회가 단지 활용하는 차원이 아닌 말씀의 본질로 돌아가서 성경 말씀에 근거한 성경적 사회복지실천을 해야 한다는 것이다. 이에 본 강좌는 성경적 관점의 복지선교와 복지목회에 기초하는 교회사회복지실천의 개념을 구체적으로 정립하면서 아울러 실제적인 실행 전략과 방법 및 기술을 심도 있게 탐구하려고 한다. LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon
successful completion of this course, students will (1) acquire new insight on
church social welfare practice with biblical ministry paradigm; (2) clear
understanding of ‘welfare mission’ and ‘welfare ministry’ that compose biblical
and spiritual church social welfare practice; (3) comprehension of theoretical
model, method and skills of church social welfare practice that applies through
reinterpretation of general social welfare with biblical standpoint, which
distinguishes it from or general social
welfare; (4) through looking ahead on one’s future mission and ministry the
student will develop one’s competence that can be applicable by examining
domestic/international example cases created from various fields. 본 강좌를 성공적으로 이수하게 되면 다음과 같은 학습 결과를 기대할 수 있다. (1) 성경적 목회 패러다임으로 교회사회복지실천에 대한 새로운 통찰을 얻게 된다. (2) 성경적이면서 영성적인 교회사회복지실천을 구성하는 ‘복지선교’와 ‘복지목회’를 분명하게 이해하게 된다. (3) 일반 사회복지실천과 구별되거나 혹은 일반 사회복지실천을 성경적 관점에서 재해석하여 적용하는 교회사회복지실천의 이론적 모델과 방법 및 기술을 알게 된다. (4) 다양한 영역에서 창출된 모범적인 국내외 사례들을 면밀하게 들여다봄으로써 학생들이 소명으로 받은 자신의 선교와 목회의 미래를 자기 스스로 내다보며 적용할 수 있는 역량을 키우게 된다. COURSE FORMAT: This
class meets from 8.00 am to 5.00pm for one week for a total of 40 hours
of classroom instruction through lectures, group discussions, reading and book
review, and drafting a plan for church social work practice project. 본 강좌는 총 40시간의 수업을 위해 오전 8시부터 오후 5시까지 일주일 동안 집중 강의로 진행되며, 필수 독서와 독서 서평, 교회사회복지실천 사업계획서 작성, 그리고 강의에 따른 그룹 토론으로 구성된다. REQUIRED READING: total
